It is a beautiful bay, just behind the Porto Cervo marina . It is sheltered from the mistral, the predominant wind in the area, so it can be crowded on windy days. The surrounding landscape is fabulous: two beautiful white sand beaches frame the bay, and the villas of the Costa Smeralda with their verdant gardens are visible in the surrounding hills. In the north-east of Sardinia, a shimmering expanse of fine sand plunges into the turquoise reflections of the sea, flanked by Mediterranean scrub and rocks shaped by time, typical of Gallura: it is one of the most exclusive emerald beaches.
